Video Directed and Song writing by Brenda Barrios.
I wrote a song. This song is a homage to my life and my Art. I wanted to experiment with music and do a music video. I did this as a positive manifestation for myself and others. The lyrics are meant to be universal and encourage positivity in one’s life. The lyrics express my love for life and Art. Hopefully, this video can help you feel strength and high vibrations. I Choreographed the dance moves to be spiritual and healing. The visuals are videos I recorded of me traveling to the happiest places I’ve been to.I added a circle to symbolize self, the infinite, eternity, timelessness, all movements.
Let’s talk about the lyrics. The Lyrics are Spanish because that is my first language. The lyrics for those who don’t speak Spanish are. They call me BB, but my name is Brenda. I’m an artist but not dumb. Is referring to the times everyone would say I’m dumb for going to art school. The second verse is Art Activism to help the people so we could win! Speaking about my art activism and the influence I give when my Art travels the world. If it helps people, that makes me happy. I shot the video in Pasadena because I’m from Pasadena.
